Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Department
Govt of Punjab has latest announced a bunch of seats for Nurses, doctors, Registrars, and Professors in different hospitals, Institutes, and Colleges of Punjab under the Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Department of Punjab.
It’s Basically 3rd phase of Adhoc apply under HISDU ranging from grade 16 up to 20.
Contract Duration:
The contract is for one year but can be increased its time span depending on the situation and service.
Apply Deadline:
The announced deadline is 07 January 2023 on Saturday up to 12 AM.
Grades:
Grades distribution is as follows:
- Charge Nurses: BS-16
- Medical Officer/Women Medical Officer: BS-17
- Senior Registrar: BS-18
- Assistant Professor: BS-18
- Consultant: BS-18
- Associate Professor: BS-19
- Professor: BS-20
Distribution of Seats:
There are different seats announced for different posts. The overall sketch of seats is given below:
- Charge Nurses: 613
- Medical Officer/Women Medical Officer: 657
- Senior Registrar: 31
- Assistant Professor: 32
- Consultant: 20
- Associate Professor: 14
- Professor: 3
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for these posts are as follows:
MO/WMO:
-
- MBBS Qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.
- Registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.
- Has one year of experience in a regular House job.
Charge Nurse:
-
- B.Sc Nursing Generic (Four Years) and valid registration from Pakistan Nursing Council
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and valid registration from Pakistan Nursing Council
- Preferences shall be given to the graduate of the Government institutions.
Senior Registrar:
-
- The candidate should have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
- 2MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission with three years’ post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute.
Assistant Professor:

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
- 2MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission with three years’ post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute.
Associate Professor:
- “MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institution or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission with three years practical experience in the respective specialty in a recognized institute.”
- Five years of teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor or equivalent position recognized by PMC with at least three research papers published in a Standard Medical Journal.
Professors:
- “MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission. If none is available with the above qualifications, then:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institution or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission with three years practical experience in the respective specialty in a recognized institute.”
- Three years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by the PMDC Provided that the total teaching experience as an Assistant / Associate Professor is not less than eight years or nine years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
- Five research papers were published in a standard medical journal while working as an Assistant/ Associate Professor.

- After the submission, the profile will be locked and you can’t make any more changes to it.
Selection Process:
After the submission of application on online portal, your data will be checked by the health department.
